What’s your score?  If you’re like most people, you see yourself as above average.  What score does God require? 100  Jesus said, “Therefore, you are to be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.” (Matthew 5:48) But nobody scores 100!  In fact, according to the Bible, your score is really 0. Romans 3:12 says, “There is none who does good, there is not even one.”  “And all our righteous deeds are like filthy rags.” (Isaiah 64:6)  Jesus said, “No one is good except God alone.” (Mark 10:18) Therein lies the greatest problem every person has, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23)  Every sin, no matter how common or small it may seem, is a huge offense against God who is righteous and just.  Not only does your sin separate you from God now, it also has an eternal penalty.  “The wages of sin is death“, spiritual death in Hell where you will consciously suffer forever.  “But the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus.” (Romans 6:23)  This is because Jesus, who never sinned, was punished for sinners.  He was brutally beaten and died a cruel death upon the cross, bearing the wrath of God. “For our sakes He made Him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.” (2 Corinthians 5:21)  In other words, Jesus paid the penalty for our 0 score and now God sees the believer with Jesus’ perfect 100 score.   After Jesus died, He was buried, rose from the grave, and later ascended into heaven.   You too can have eternal life but you must repent and totally trust Christ.  “If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9)  All your sins will be forgiven, your relationship with God will be reconciled, and He will grant you everlasting life in His presence. “Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your heart.” (Hebrews 3:15).  Spend time alone before God in prayer. “Turn to Me and be saved, all the ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no other.” (Isaiah 45:21)  Confess your sins and turn from them.  Put your faith in Christ alone to save you as you surrender your life to Him. “Eternal life is found in knowing the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom He has sent.” (John 17:3)

Whoever gave you this cares enough about you to step out in faith that you might know the Truth.
